the WORST of 2008!
so we got the good..now for the worst,
10. my clumsiness: im very clumsy so that got me in trouble at work by dropping alot of things, tripping and falling isnt that great either. 9. thinking of my future: i kind of dont like to think about it because im not sure what i want to do yetand i dont know what school to go to yet either so it worries me. 8. snow: the snow we had was unbelievable and the ice was very dangerous, you slip and then break your arm, my grandma pulled a muscle. 7. summer ending: i didnt want summer to end because i was having such a great time, and now its over 
6. my sunburn: when i went to hampton beach i tanned for the whole week and it was so hot i got a major sunburn that i couldnt even walk, it was really sad. 5.warped tour 08: that was fun, but the worst of it was loosing my shirt, someone stole it from my bag! 4. over exaggerated prices: i think that the prices in stores for a shirt is really over priced, and since the economie is going down theyre bringing up the prices in stores. 3. my rabbit bambi: i got a rabbit for my bday and then after a month i had to give him away because my mom hated it! 2. lidia moving away: during the summer lidia moved away and we were neighbours and since shes my best friend it was a bad part of summer 08. 1. my grandpa getting operated: he needed to get a heart bipass, and seeing him in the hospital wasnt the best place too see him and it was really bad and hard for the whole family.

the GOOD 2008!
so we finally started a new year, the year of 2009..but if i think about it now there were some good and bad momments in the year of 2008, and im going to list you ten for each and explain to you why i chose them..
GOOD:
10. laronde: because its like our hang-out for me and my friends. we would go there every chance we got and sometimes go for one ride and leave after, since we had passes it cost us nothing, and we had so much fun. 9. christmas: i got to spend it with my family and eat really good food mad from my nonna and mom:) 8. tubing in quebec: on march break of 08, my family and a family friend came with us to quebec for tubing..it was really fun and we had so many laughs at night in the hotel was funny, i had a good time and ill never forget that. 7. COBRA STARSHIP: nov 26 08 what the best night ever! i got to see my favorite band cobra starship for the 4th time:) i also meant them and it was really cool! 6. “dates” with adelina and amnda:) we would go out and be stupid, and the memories are unforgetable! 5. summer 08: there just a few words to say about this summer AMAZING! 4. camping the backyard: my friends and i would go in the backyard and camp outside with a tent and everything it was really fun and stay up all night!!! 3. new years eve: i went to a hotel party at the holiday inn and partied and stayed up all night!!!! 
2. hampton beach 08: i went on vacation with lidia and my mom and sister and we had a really fun time and both got badly sunburned:D and finally #1 would be the JONAS BROTHER CONCERT aug.31 in vermont! i love them and watching them live in front of my eyes was the best experience ever!

CHRISTMAS!
when christmas comes around who isnt excited? we have a 2 week break from school, and we get to spend quality time with family, and for the little kids i think the best part is going to sleep and waking up the next morning and finding presents under the tree and knowing the santa ate all the cookies they left out and drank their glass of milk.
usually we start preparing things for christmas in the month of november or mid-november, we hear christmas lights, christmas songs on the radio, commercials on tv ect. seeing this i think helps people get in the christmas spirit more then they probably already are.
christmas is one of my favorite holdiays because you spend time with family, and at night when you go outside you see some house full of bright lights, and at home your christmas tree up and so pretty.
christmas should also be for celebrating the birth of jesus to us who believe in him, and its not really about the gifts, if you give you should always accept to recieve, as long as you know your doing something nice for the person.
i dont know about other people but i LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Our Government
when it comes to politics and learning about what the government is doing and voting for new governors i dont really CARE.
what they do doesnt really interest me because i never see any changes to the streets or the planet..they say there gonna help make our planet better, but does it really work or are they even gonna try?
they spend billions of money and our money for these elections, but in the end it was a waste because the conservatives ended up winning again. which means stephen harper is once again in control. i hate him and never in a life time will like a man who agrees with the president of the united states Bush! another stupid man, and also the fact that stephen is a liar and should never be trusted.
he spends our money and runs this country like he doesnt care, which to me he probably doesnt. in my opinion if he keeps doing what hes doing maybe in 10 years there might be a world war 3.

Why do people like watching sports?
I think people in general like to watch different kinds of sports because it’s entertaining and it makes them excited to watch their favorite team of any kind of sport play against another team and watch them kick butt, and maybe a bit disappointing to watch them loose.
In my opinion it’s like someone watching their favorite show, or someone reading a good book. What so interesting about watching tv or reading a book? I think it’s how you feel.
I asked my cousins who ENJOY watching and playing hockey. They told me they like watching this sport because it’s real,n competitive and seeing the their favorite team score a goal is the best feeling, especially if your at the bell center watching it happen right in front of your eyes and having so much other people around you cheering for the same reason you are. I myself like watching hockey games with them because hearing them scream and jump for joy makes me laugh.
So now if I think about it, people watch sports for a lot of different reasons, and when you see them sad about their team loosing it’s probably because they are very into it, and hate to see them not succeeding, like the football game this weekend seeing a lot of Montreal fans disappointed.

How does the media effect the enviroment?
The media effects the enviroment in diffrent ways, in good and bad ways. how? Because the media is telling the people who watch the news how it is in danger and we need to save it the best we can. but not everyone is trying to help, these companies these huge factories how are they helping when they pollute more by the all the smoke coming out of their buildings, and using non-recyclable products.
Some people who do care about the enviroment and the media shows it are some celebrities, how by taking out the recycling and using recycled cardboards and plastic. For example The Jonas Brothers, they use recycled things to make their cd covers, and to show it they write it inside the cd case and at their concetrts they make contest on things and the winners get to meet them to intrigue their fans to recycle. Also you see pictures of celebrities like Selena Gomez taking out the recycling bins.
Seeing people they adore or other people around them recycling, can make them realize that are earth is in danger and we should help do something about it, and if more and more p[eople do it who knows maybe we can change something and make a BIG diffrence!

Media and the War!
Tuesday Novemeber 11th was Rememberance day, when we give our respects to the veterans who faught in the war to represent our country.
To show our respect to them people start wearing poppies on the jackets or sweaters, and on the 11thy hour of the 11th day we have a moment of silence and give respect for everything they did for us.
Having the media talk about this day and write articles and poems about what happened during the war is a good thing because they are informing us, and teaching us in the same time about how they faught in the war.
Having a poppy in my room makes me proud to say that i respect and Iam happy for what they did. Leaving their families, kids,wives to go fight in the war was tough and seeing your friends die while fighting is hard and I think they should be honoured for what they did for us in WW1 and in WW2.

Barak Obama for president!!
CONGRATULATIONS! to the Unites States for they have a new president.
Barak Obama is the new president of the United States of America and even if I am Canadian I am so happy that he won these elections. Everyone knows that there is alot of racist people living in the US, and it is said that most of afdrican americans voted for himand that he will be assasinated due to the fact that he’s black, but the colour matter? No, it’s what he’s going to do for their country how he run’s it, he might even change the world.
The media has a big effect on these situations because thats how peope around the world get informed, by watching the news, and by listening to what they say and seeing what they do make up the choices of peoples mind when they vote for either McCain or Obama, and the way they each played the citizens of the US chose Obama.
Also making fun of the presidents or vice-presidents on TV doesn’t help anyone either. Calling someone stupid or judging the way the wives dress doesn’t help them either.
I hope that Obama run’s the country better and is more successful then Bush was!!!

Why do people like horror movies?
Friday was Halloween, and usually for Halloween kids dress up, go trick-or-treating. But to me Halloween means zombies, vampires and other scary monsters.
So first I would dress up and go house to house and get some good candy, then later that night my friends and I would watch horror movies and eat all our chocolate. Then it came to me, why do we love horror movies so much? okay, people who don’t enjoy watching scary movies are missing the best thing ever.
I think we enjoy watching horror movies because of how they make them, how the blood and guts go everywhere when someone dies, how we scream and cover our eyes when something scary happens. Also in some horror movies, there is so much suspense it makes our tummies have butterflies because we don’t know what is going to happen next, so we crench down and put a scarf over eyes.
That is why I think people love watching them. I adore them so much and watch them all the time. I hope I’ll never stop cause the feeling I get while watching them is really cool, and getting scared and screaming from the tops of my lungs is amazing!

Walter Elias Disney is a famous film producer, voice actor, animator and other awesome stuff. He was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Elias Disney and Flora Call Disney. Walt Disney and his brother Ryan O. Disney are founders of the Walt Disney production. He’s most known for doing his amazing theme park designs and his animation of famous fictional characters, one of his first and best know one is MICKEY MOUSE! He married Lillian Bounds in 1925, and they had a girl named Diane Marie Disney and adopted a few years later Sharon Mae Disney. Walt Disney died December 15, 1966 of lung cancer, a few years before opening of his dream project Walt Disney World Resort.

I chose these two pictures because to me they are very meaningful in a kind of way. First i chose Mickey Mouse because that was one of his first famous works and became animated, now if you see how mickey mouse evolved it’s something extrodinary to me. I then chose the Disney princess because i adore them. My favorite princess is Ariel from The Little Mermaid. i think Walt Disney did a fantastic job on creating these characters., not only the ones i chose but mickey mouse’s friends, and others.
Walt Disney work is special because of the amzing things he created, and how visiting Disney World or watching his movies always put a smile on young kids and parents of today, his work his magical in every way. His work is very diffrent from others because of the way he did his work, he tried hard and suceeded in what he wanted to do. Others animators do their work amazing too, but soething about Walt Disney is just so fasinating. His impact on the media was very strong, i think alot of people care for his work, and its a very popular place in the world. Even if he is dead, Walt Disney is a very sucessful man, and his world his going to be around for a very long time.
